All Ireland Final line-up?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

So folks. Who do you think will make it through to the 3rd Sunday in September?

Will it be:

Dublin v Mayo
Dublin v Kerry
Tyrone v Mayo
Tyrone v Kerry

Very interesting semis but I think it will still be Dublin v Kerry, with the Dubs eager to put Kerry back in their box after the league final. For me its Dublin to make their own piece of history, but fingers crossed for three intriguing match-ups.

Hopefully Kerry/Tyrone as its been too long since our last duel in the final even though they could be as much as a challenge then the dubs.

But unfortunately it looks like Dublin v Mayo , especially if Mayo keep performing like they did today. Mayo/Kerry 60/40 and Dublin/Tyrone 60/40 favorites IMO but these games are some games to look forward to.

Dublin will beat them again, boring i know but that is about the size of it.

Tyrone are hungry to beat Dublin, and will bring a level of hunger and intensity that Dublin probably haven't faced in a while.
While Dublin have displayed very controlled performances to date, I think they have been allowed to do this considering many of the sides they faced have not been of a genuine All Ireland Challengers level. So seeing a very professional Dublin beat a declining Monaghan or inexperienced Kildare doesn't make me say "Wow, what a team", because I already know Dublin are a superb team.

Tyrone on the other hand are unproven, they haven't won a All Ireland Semi final since 2008, so while they are displaying all the right signs in terms of performances for now, they still have a lot to prove. They came through Ulster with ease, meeting no real resistance, mainly due to Donegal and Monaghan declining or underperforming, and beat Down and Armagh sides who were not expected to challenge this year. Despite all of this, Tyrone still have belief and I think they can and will beat Dublin.

Not sure about whether they will beat Kerry in the final though...........if Kerry beat Mayo as expected.

So your tipping us to beat Mayo then even after their superb performance today without their best player??

Roscommon were poor but Mayo showed today they are back to their best.

I like your confidence in us but we will need everything to go our way to get through this one. Hopefully Fitzmaurice gets his selections correct otherwise we could be in big trouble.

how will mayo deal with donaghy, geaney, donoghue ?, Most of Mayos success came from pressurising Roscommon kickouts and out musceled them, Any combination of moran, maher, buckley, barry should ensure Kerry dont have those problems

Donaghy,Geaney and O Donoghue will perform alright but its not our forward line im worried about. As we all seen against Galway when teams run at our defence they can cause us a lot of trouble.

Mayo created numerous scoring opportunities today running from deep and if they repeat this we could be in trouble. However if its a below par performance from them like we seen in the last few weeks then we should win.

Mayo on form today should be slight favourites but im not expecting much between us at the end.

Them odds are based on Mayos form the last few weeks, them odds will change in the coming two weeks when people lump money on Mayo at that tempting price.

Dublin for sure. Who will take the runner up spot is the interesting one before today I would have said Kerry. But the enigma that is mayo just never ceases to surprise me
