the Kerry/Mayo game was like div 2 football compared to the standard Dublin are setting."
I wouldn't go around spouting about one team flopping and playing div 2 stand football when your own team are no where near the required level. Have a bit of cop on there's enough Mayo are chokers buffs in this world find yourself a different shtick!

Also there's no shame getting hockeyed off the park by Dublin but your were one to think there is shame in losing by a point after a replay last year! I remember your post throughout the year torros!

Certainly not. However that's just a sly dig at Kerry and Mayo. Both have given Dublin a game in recent times. Mayo should have beaten them last year in the final Kerry beat them in the league final this year. Tyrone on the other hand capitulated completely and looked every bit a division 2 side yesterday. I doubt Mayo will be as accommodating and I wouldn't be surprised if they turn Dublin over.

Expected a lot more from Tyrone. Seemed to me they were captives of the system and were stuck when it wasn't working. Plenty of talent in the county, so adapting to new more flexible tactics should be achievable if the guiding philosophy changes. Not sure if that will be with the same man at the helm, great and all as he has been.

Tyrone were shocking. No intensity. Game was over after 10mins. It was like a training session. Tyrone didn't lay a glove on Dublin. Tyrone choked really. Believed their own hype. Whatever you say about Mayo they will at least bring a bit of intensity and bite to the final. Lost by 1 point last year after 2 games against the greatest team ever to play football and had to play over half the second match without the POTY. But sure Mayo are only a division 2 team.

I would agree with you. Thought Tyrone were better but you will not beat the Dubs by conceding kick outs. Take Dublin out of Leinster and Ulster is at about the same standard. The managers has too much control with teams and systems which produce negativity- McGuiness knew when to get out!!. It does not matter what system you have if the guys on the field do not have the ability to perform and you will win little without good forwards and a high workrate.

I'm just trying to reason why i get likes.

I talk my mind, with that some like you, some don't. It's not a popularity contest! At my age and being comfortable in my skin what do i care?

Anyway i'm responding to posters saying no wonder you have so many likes as you have multiple posts, posters like yourself.

I'm going to watch this minor match now and looking forward to the senior and if i have something to say about Tyrone or Dublin after i'll say it.

I spoke a lot about Kerry cynicism not being spoken about and them getting away with it for decades. Hardly a bland statement fishing for likes?"
Very suspicious that all your posts have a minimum of 2 likes and any post disagreeing with you get 2 dislikes.

I think you've been caught out but who cares really. Its an internet forum.

Regarding the game, thought the ref was poor but it didn't effect the result. Mayo were the better team all round. Colm Boyle is some threat going forward and I really like Durcan who came on. Very direct and effective footballer.

Well done Mayo played us off the park both days.
Pity we didnt get that goal whenwe had 3 shots in a row and seen what Mayo were made of in the last quarter.
Ref was awful but he didn't influence the result.

My first Kerry match in Croke Park was in 96 when mayo beat us and I have loved following Kerry in Croker ever since with many a win over Mayo so we just have to accept it when the result goes differently.

Love to see Mayo finishing off the job now.

Just seeing this post.

I don't think that's true of my posts regarding likes and dislikes. I honestly couldn't care less. On my twitter account a few follow my posts on HS, i don't know if they're messing about with likes/dislikes. I couldn't care less.

Anyway you don't like my contributions as you said a few days back so your biased against me. Kinda rich from a fella who's only contribution i've read is the fairly obvious statement that he likes Paddy Durcan's impact coming on as a sub for Mayo!

I must say i enjoy posts from Seanie Tyrone, Damo the Dub, Ballydalane, Killarney 1987 and many others who contribute a lot to the forum.
