Replying To GGdub:  "The only thing i know is, if dublin get through to the final to face 1 of these pair its 3 in a row without a doubt..didnt think much of either of them to be honest."

Replying To Forpucksake:  "As some Mayo and Kerry posters have pointed out, the ref had a decent game in atrocities conditions. Any Mayo fan trying to blame the ref is purely deflecting from the fact that Mayo only have themselves to blame for not winning on Sunday.

Mayo were by far the better team, and should be looking forward to another shot at Sam in a few weeks. Ye let Kerry off the hook when ye should have turned the screw. Looking for any other excuse just doesn't wash."
I wasn't happy with a number of Deegan's calls on Sunday, but overall I'd have to agree. Our momentum was stalled by a small number of errors and sloppiness at crucial times which Kerry made us pay for. What we might have gotten away with against previous oppositions we didn't against the Kingdom. Lessons for next Saturday.

And the only reason I brought up the above posts was to balance out the mayo posters who tried to say the reason ye didn't win was down to the ref decisions, twice yer boys were 4 points up and we kept coming back and we were leading in injury time and had a decent kick to win it not bad for a shit team eh!"
I think they're quite a good team.

Replying To Green_Gold:  "I feel people are very hard on AOS. Up until last weekend, he has been brilliant in this years championship. He was hung out to dry last weekend being asked to mark Donaghy, probably the best full forward ever & no sweeper to protect him. How many seasoned full backs have been taken to the cleaners by Donaghy over the years, quite a lot I'd imagine. Not only was he asked to play an entirely new position, he had to mark one of the best full forwards ever. Lord above what do people expect.

OK he doesn't have pace but he is a brilliant gaelic footballer. The problem is that Mayo are playing him everywhere and not in his best position of midfield."
I agree and I also think that he did not play half as bad the last day as many people are making out. He got on a fair bit of ball and his distribution was very good. He easily won the only high ball that was kicked in to Donaghy. This forced Kerry to completely abandon that tactic, and as a result, O'Donoghue and Geaney had far fewer opportunities than normal as they were not getting the usual little lay-offs from Donaghy after his high fetches. If Mayo ignore all the guff, concentrate on their own game and believe in themselves, there is no reason why they cannot win the next day.

if anyone was taking notice of the kerry warm up Donaghy was on the edge of the square at different stages and there was high ball after high ball being pumped in on top of him so to say Kerry werent going to use that tactic because of the wet conditions is a little wide of the mark i think, when Keith played the ball out to Aiden and Aiden misjudged the bounce and it went out over the sideline Aiden was out of position and the first thing that was done was to launch a ball in on top of Donaghy, S O'Shea broke it away from him but only knocked it down to Moran and we know what happened after that. So while Aiden couldnt compete with Donaghy on the ground, who knows what sort of damage would have been done to us if someone else was marking him and our full back line was being bombarded with high balls

I'm never confident at this stage of the championship, the nerves get in the way, Mayo are and have been a fine side, Tyrone are a dogfight which could go either way and Kerry are Kerry, so gun to head? I think we have a good chance but I would not put much on it.

I notice that once you get to AI Semi Finals the refs don't even blow for over carrying"
And if you break them there is one rule for Dubs and many more for the rest !!

Ah ye have it in the bag kid, the real allireland final will be this Sunday, who ever wins between dubs and Tyrone will have it in the bag.

Ourselves and mayo won't do much whichever one of us scrapes through the next day.

Aye for that reason I'd argue it worked. Nearly all of Mayo's losses to Kerry in the last 13 years have been down to this one man and his height under the high ball.

It's probably in Mayo's best interest for O'Shea to pick him up again to cancel him out in the Ariel threat. Barry Moran doesn't have match fitness from what I keep hearing but would it not be worth Mayo's time for the last ten minutes to stick Moran on Donaghy and move O'Shea up the pitch for a final push if Moran has ten minutes in him at least? Donaghy would be a bit more tired out by then and Moran is roughly the same height as Donaghy. Especially if the game wasn't going Mayo's way it would be worth the risk.

Just want to say what an enjoyable game of football the last day was.
Kerry did leave their full back line exposed but that is the type of football I used to love , man to man and on this occasion Mayo full forward came out on top.
I would much rather see this type of stuff than the likes of Kerry v Donegal in 2014.

But the next day I would expect our half back line (maybe just centre back) to sit back a bit further.

Kerry were not at the races apart from sporadic patches but in these patches we kept the scoreboard ticking.
I was delighted to come out with a draw even though we should have won in the finish in BJK didnt get a brain fart but it would have been against the run of play.
The main positive is that this is a newish Kerry team and this si the first time I can remember we didn't play well and managed to not lose.

I expect us to play much better on Saturday but also Mayo will again have no fear and def fancy their chances so has the makings of a great game again.

Kerry scored 2-14, not playing well, against a Mayo team using their sweeper

Thats why Kerry are the bookies favorites

Kerry to win on Saturday. Mayo had a great chance to win last Sunday, but didn't put Kerry away.
