I support the decision on playing Mayo vs Rosscomon on the bank holiday. Great idea, should be a great atmosphere. oakleafersir (Derry) - Posts: 808 - 30/07/2017 19:04:11 2026101 Link 0 |

It's quite unfair to bring the two teams east of the country for a second time. Isn't there somewhere closer they could play? DannyMcA (Dublin) - Posts: 260 - 30/07/2017 19:24:55 2026126 Link 2 |
Ah balls. I'll be stuck in work so wont get to see it.

Salthill beckons... surely it won't come back to Croker. Pericles (Mayo) - Posts: 2521 - 30/07/2017 20:14:52 2026175 Link 0 |
Confirmed for Croker. Hopefully a late enough kick-off that considers those working etc. 5pm ideal. cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 5012 - 30/07/2017 20:24:31 2026178 Link 0 |
Know how you feel, but hopfully it is a late enough throw-in. If not, i might try to get it on the radio. Shame its not a bank hoiday for us though, would be great. Still think it is a great idea though.

Why croke park? Surely salthill or limerick would make more sense? Bringing both back to croke seems crazy David (Meath) - Posts: 567 - 30/07/2017 21:03:03 2026204 Link 1 |
Quicker to get to Dublin than Limerick and nobody wants to play in Salthill.

Should the fixtures not be re arranged so that the Dublin, Monaghan game be played on the Monday instead of the Mayo, Roscommon replay. mhunicean_abu (Monaghan) - Posts: 1044 - 31/07/2017 09:02:13 2026394 Link 0 |

Pity the game is not on in the west. But hearing both managers they wanted he replay in Crokerr so I'm all for it if that's what the teams want. Most counties would love the headache Mayo and Roscommonfans have this morning yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11231 - 31/07/2017 09:49:03 2026444 Link 0 |
Hopefully an early kick off so traffic can get out of Dublin early on a Bank Holiday Monday!

Thank god its not in Salthill anyway dont fancy sitting in traffic for 6 hours coming out of that dive Cuckoosinging (Roscommon) - Posts: 992 - 31/07/2017 10:14:21 2026471 Link 1 |
5pm on a Bank Holiday Monday for two teams from the west who will be travelling to Croker for 2nd weekend in a row. Maybe the starting time should be a little earlier perhaps. Maybe consider the fans who travel to the games. A 5pm start would mean many supporters not getting home til 11pm. Not ideal for young families

Delighted its in Croke Park and not salthill, if it wasn't in croker I would have taken a coin toss, anywhere bar salthill. Tarismelting22 (Roscommon) - Posts: 760 - 31/07/2017 11:35:11 2026539 Link 0 |
checked the holiday chart this morning, no chance of getting it off... bloody school holidays!!! Will be looking for a GAAGO logon to watch it in the office, or maybe be on Sky and get head to the pub for it. Rosineri1 (UK) - Posts: 2099 - 31/07/2017 11:39:50 2026542 Link 0 |
Is the replay a soccer or rugby match?

Why not Salthill? I have never been, but surely 1-2 hrs to Galway from even the most remote part of Mayo, better than 4 to Dublin? Pinkie (Wexford) - Posts: 4100 - 31/07/2017 11:51:24 2026555 Link 0 |
