Replying To Lifford Gael:  "Time for Donegal supporters to show their disgust at what is going on by staying at home from county matches next sesson until the County Board start taking this matter seriously. Not only that but the smokescreen being put up by the County Board and the closing of ranks is insulting to Donegal supporters everywhere. First McEniff making false accusations against Donegal supporters around abuse of Gerry Gallagher which didn't happen and for which McEniff has still not issued an apology, and now the County chairman, Sean Dunnion condemning online abuse of Rory Gallagher. I haven't seen any online abuse but have seen concerned supporters voice their annoyance at what is going on in the county set up but nothing personal towards Gallagher himself who I am sure is doing his best.
I will be protesting with my feet for sure next season and won't be returning to watch Donegal anytime soon until the County Board and its representatives start showing some respect to the supporters who have followed the county through thick and thin over the past number of years."
Take of those tinted glasses everyone has seen the online abuse .

Replying To Lifford Gael:  "Dont give me that real supporter nonsense! If I don't want to go watch rubbish then I won't go to watch rubbish. When Donegal gets its house in order from the top down and members of the county board stop insulting our supporters, then I'll consider returning but not until then. And I'm not alone. There are plenty more like me who won't be back until then either. If you want to be a real supporter and continue to watch the horror shows that we saw against Longford and against Galway, then you go ahead."
So your a sunshine supporter' ? I'd say yes

Where exactly? Be specific and not generic.

Would wee Martin take it? Would the county board want him?
Heard a few references from donegal fans in relation to the county final against glenswilly Murphy was left 1 x 1 in the full forward line which caused kilcar dearly.

I'd say if Kilcar had won last year's club championship Mairtín Beag would be a big favourite for the job. He also had a poor enough Sigerson campaign with a very talented UUJ squad.

No I think McHughs ship has sailed long ago as far as managing Donegal is concerned, I think we need someone from outside the county who has innovative ideas and can get us playing a more attacking brand of football,we have very skilful players, I hope a lot of the lads who have stepped away will reconsider now, suppose a lot depends on who the new management team is.
There is a bit of hope for the future back among the supporters I know anyway, looking forward now to seeing what names come forward,
maybe though we can get the Chinese takeaway we are all hoping for!!

I thought you were craving for attacking football.

I think we played brilliant counter attacking football under Jim, but he started the project by getting the defence right, we have regressed to 2010 standards under RG.
I hardly think we would have won the All Ireland in 2012 if we couldn't attack. the 2014 semi final were we beat the 'team that couldn't be beat' was a masterclass in this.
I think we'd all take another Sam Maguire playing the same tactics.

Whoever comes in needs to get the defensive stability and intensity back as a priority. From an attacking perspective we need more variation yes and leaving 2 or 3 players up top would go along way. I also do not see the point in having a player like Eoin McHugh toiling back all the time as he is a great one on one match up for any more physical player. But he could do serious damage getting quick ball kicked to him from a turnover with a couple of players up front to support. However he needs to spend alot of hours working on his score taking especially as well as his kick passing.

Horan or McGrath. Time to abandon short game. It is wrecking our lads physically and all other teams can set up to turn us over and counter. If we go with another do manager I fear we will stick to same muck and be forced to watch Murphy end his career inside our own 45.

I would be surprised if Horan went to Donegal....He might be back in his native county sooner.

If he did go north....I would expect a lot of training to be held in Fundoran

I know it's a spelling mistake but I love the thought 'Fundoran' and the training that would go with it.

Is it not the case that Donegals underage teams have been playing a hard running style of football so that when the lads get into the senior side they will understand what is expected from them? If the new manager looks to play a more traditional style a lot of that work will have gone to waste surely?
