Dublin, Kerry, maybe Tyrone in with a chance for Sam and thats pusing it big time on Tyrone, the rest havent a snowballs chance. The form from the other teams show that there is a big divide, i believe Mayo have slipped a long way in the last 2 years and are not showing any sign of competing with Dublin and Kerry, The likes of Kildare, Galway, will improve over the coming years and Donegal too but for the forseeable future its the same big 2

I think Mayo competed fairly well against Dublin last year..

Dublin and Kerry are ahead of the rest but both Tyrone and Mayo are capable of providing tough tests to both and you couldn't rule out a win for either but hard to look outside Dublin or Kerry for Sam. A likely semi final meeting of Tyrone and Dublin should be a cracker and likewise the likely meeting of Mayo and Kerry whether it be at the QF or SF stage should be entertaining. There should be some other interesting matches over the next few weeks as well and overall it's been quite an enjoyable championship so far.

With Kildare and Down's performances over the weekend there has been a few changes to me top 10 -
1.Dublin
2.Kerry
3.Tyrone
4.Mayo
5.Kildare
6.Roscommon
7.Monaghan
8.Donegal
9.Down
10. Galway

Kildare would be a match for most teams on yesterdays performance. They went asleep for 10 minutes in first half and conceded 2 goals - they also had chances for their own goals. If they had taken these it would have been alot closer but Dublin would still have done whatever was required to get the win

Kerry haven't beaten Dublin in nearly a decade and Tyrone have failed to win a game big game in Croke Park against non-Ulster opposition in the same period. It's hard to rate either as genuine contenders for these reasons.

Dublin are definitely the team to beat. Kerry won the league but I think they showed their hand a little in the league final. I would back the Dubs if they were to meet down the line.

Tyrones form in the last 2 games have them rightly in the mix. To win Sam they would have to beat both along the way which is a big ask.
They have the capability to beat either on any given day but i think their forwards or bench are not at the level of Dublin or Kerry.

My own county Mayo have shown signs of life but defensively have looked suspect in the last 3 games. They were cut open by Derry and Clare by runners from deep and still have a problem at fullback. 1 or 2 more players up front have put their hand up like Loftus and Diarmuid O Connor and the form of Aidan o Shea is a plus when compared to last year. Like Tyrone they have the capability to beat anyone on a given day but the right now on form they are a distant 4th behind the other 3. A QF v Kerry might be exactly what they need as Kerry may be more vunerable in a QF than a semi final.

After that you could argue about any team from 5-10 and make a strong case..

Its shaping up for a great finish to one of the best championships in the last 10 years

My point is they are not as good as they were in 2013/14, getting beat by a poor Galway team on 2 occasions show that..

The top 4 are miles ahead of the rest in my opinion, yes Galway caught Mayo a few times recently but last year was rather lucky and this year was more to do with the sending off.

Explain how it was lucky last year?

Going by what I've seen this year in the championship so far
1 Dublin
2 Kerry
3 Tyrone
4 Roscommon
5 Galway - Showed glimpses against Mayo of some great play and players whether capable of beating Donegal is Questionable
6 Kildare - Put up a good test to Dublin and have some cracking players should ease past Armagh
7 Mayo - Looked completely off the pace against Galway and not too convincing against Clare
8 Donegal - Capable of beating Monaghan
9 Monaghan - Giving another crack at Down Should be able to put their season to bed
10= Cork/Armagh/Down - Personally think that Armagh will be the only team that could be in the 1/4

Top 3 are self explanatory, Roscommon are there due of merit they proved a 9 point win over Galway they should not be disregarded in this years AI and could be the fairytale story

5/6 personally its up in the air. Galway being the most convincing after beating Mayo, Kildare showed some class against Dublin y'day.

7/8/9 - Teams that are punching below their weight and just doing enough to win against inferior teams.

10 - Personally I'd go with Cork but won't have enough to beat Mayo

Who will reach the last 8 though I think it will be Mayo, Galway, Kildare Monaghan. Its always a struggle for teams to go from a Provincial loss to a Qualifier and try turn it around and has been proven previously with momentum in favor of the Qualifier teams. Would not be surprised if Armagh and Donegal get upsets.

People need to wise up to the fact that the Championship only starts with the all ireland quarter finals in August. Results over the past 2 months (and next 2 weekends) will all be forgotten once the quarter finals kick off. It's where the wheat is sorted out from the chaff (unfortunately from our own perspective). Can't see us getting there this year

Mayo being beaten by Galway in Connacht is only a side note. I don't think they give a hoot when it's not knock out. We'll know how good both teams are after the quarter finals (even though I only expect Mayo to be there).

I think Mayo should get past cork easy enough. I know where you're coming from, Tyrone got to the 1/4's last year coming up against a Mayo team beat by Galway for Galway to go and get beat by Tipp. In 08 Tyrone were knocked out of Ulster in the first round against Down after a replay and extra time people calling for Harte's head and to step down, no all-ireland in that team etc etc, passing through the qualifiers beating Mayo in Rd 4 of the qualifiers, Dublin, a Matty Forde (What a player I might add) led Wexford and Kerry in the Final.

But calling teams in the top 10 means nothing. does not mean the top 8 are going to make it to the 1/4's as you have Galway playing Donegal and Mayo v Cork on the other side you have Monaghan playing Down which I think Monaghan will not make the same mistake twice and Kildare v Armagh. Kildare seem like a dangerous side if not taken seriously but the question is can they recover in time from the Leinster Final.

While I take the Kerry forward line were exceptional against Cork; can someone please explain why Kerry are so hyped up. To me they have a very sketchy defenses. When Cork and Clare ran at them they were cut to shreds. They wont be afforded the same freedom from the quarter finals on wards; and should Mayo encounter them I'm confident a upset will be on the cards. I think people are putting too much emphasises on a league final victory they achieved by virtue of a inferior scoring difference when infact they finished level on points with 3 other teams.
Dublin are a country mile ahead of every one else at the moment and I don't think there is a person alive who could argue differently; their conveyor belt of talent seems endless.
As it stands Dublin are the All Blacks of Gaelic Football.

1 Dublin
2-4 Mayo, Kerry,Tyrone, Monaghan; nothing to really choose between them. Each capable of beating each other on a given day.
6-7 Kildare/Donegal
8-9 Galway/Roscommon (Because if they played again tomorrow; Galway would most likely win and would be the bookies favorite)

Monaghan are just not themselves at all this year and seem to be a little like Roscommon last year. Good performances in the league but just seem overcooked at this stage. McManus not getting the support he needs and they just look at little tired but very dangerous all the same in a one off game.
Kildare are Kildare, look great, big, strong athletic, thoroughbreds but could go out and get beat by a poor Armagh Team!
Down are a division 2/3 team......
Mayo are still capable of beating Dublin in a one off game so you cant just write them off.
Galway, see Kildare.
Roscommon, see Down.
Tyrone, painfully just short on the talent required to emulate their great team of '03 to '08.
Donegal are just not where they were and seem to get a little weaker each year. Missing too many county standard players to compete.
Kerry, class outfit who could beat Dublin but need to ensure they have pace around the middle and need O'Donoghue firing on all cylinders along with Geaney.
Armagh, see Down.

In the most recent competitive encounter between Dublin and Kerry I am fairly certain that Kerry came out on top. It takes a fair imagination to say, with such authority as you do, that Dublin are so far ahead of Kerry (or indeed Tyrone or Mayo)

And your own county? Putting USA after your name is a bit of a cop out while slagging off other teams. You seem to think you have in depth knowledge while watching from thousands of miles away!
