Move Roscommon down one and mayo up one, add tipp at 10 and you spot on.

Roscommon, the fourth best football team in Ireland? Not a chance. If Mayo draw Roscommon in the quarterfinals, I can only see a win for the Green and Red. Mayo still comfortably a top 4 team

As much as I would love that, I agree, mayo are a proven top 4 team. We are most certainly not. If we beat them on a possible QF then that may change things Rosfan (Roscommon) - Posts: 778 - 14/07/2017 17:25:17 2016610 Link 0 |

My top 4 teams have not been beaten this year in the championship. All the rest have been beaten. You might question some of my other selecions but not the 4 unbeaten teams! Thanks forpukesake Bernardo (Monaghan) - Posts: 594 - 14/07/2017 18:30:34 2016633 Link 0 |
Patsy100 We wre beaten by Down... Get real... A team we beat by 21 loints last year. To be honest whatever it is about monaghan i think we have a better chance of beating the top four than any othe team in my list above. We in monaghan do not play well with the favourite tag. We lost to longford and Down.. Yes longford and down We who are your top 10 Bernardo (Monaghan) - Posts: 594 - 14/07/2017 18:38:27 2016638 Link 0 |
Royaldunne the only reason i put roscommon at 4 is because they are only 1 of 4 teams unbeaten ( kildare will be beaten by dublin)

We'll see how we'll do if we get that far. Galway beat us and the Rossies hammered them. For me for today that means the Rossies should be ranked above us. Who"s to say that with no pressure in them they can't even play better. McStay isn't bringing them to Croker for a day out.

Sligo were Connacht champions not so long ago, it doesn't mean that a team one week are nowhere and a week after considered top 5 or 6.

You're emphasising that Down beat Monaghan in very dramatic fashion yet you rate Down at 6. Either they are good or they're not make your mind up if they are rated 6 as you say then it's no shame losing to them by a point

So the four unbeaten teams in the championship, ie the provincial champions, are always the top four teams in the country. That is simply not the case. Last year Galway were unbeaten in their province, yet they were beaten comfortably by Tipp in the QF's. Whilst Mayo, who were defeated by Galway go all the way to the final, and narrowly lose out to the best team in Ireland. Doesn't really add up, does it? Mhunicean abu. Down were the surprise in ulster and are in the ulster final. I rate monaghan at 9 because we cannot beat the top six and any team we are favourite to beat we struggle. Remember cavan and fermanagh! Bernardo (Monaghan) - Posts: 594 - 14/07/2017 20:19:55 2016675 Link 0 |
