Mickey Harte looks set to extend his tenure as Tyrone senior football manager into 2018.

Last year the three-time All-Ireland winning manager was reappointed for a two-year term and The Irish News is reporting that, following this summer's Anglo Celt Cup success, he has met with Red Hand officials to discuss staying on for a 16th year, at least.

The Tyrone County Board are expected to ratify the request at a meeting on September 6.
