Former Donegal player Barry Dunnion is confident that the current side can bounce back from their Ulster SFC final defeat and advance to an All-Ireland quarterfinal.

Standing in their way is a Cork team that is improving with every game that they have played so far.

The sides meet in Croke Park tomorrow (Saturday) evening at 4pm and many have tipped this a game that could go either way.

Dunnion admitted to the Donegal Democrat that winning the Ulster title would have been a huge boost heading to Croke Park, but he is adamant that all is not lost yet.

"If they can beat Cork, that will give them a confidence boost," said Dunnion. "The word is that big Neil (Gallagher) is close to a return and if that happens, it might allow them to push Michael Murphy inside.

"There's no doubt about it, it would have been fantastic to beat Tyrone and go to Croke Park as Ulster champions. It gives you a real pep in your step and you'd have been straight into the quarter-final. But it wasn't to be and they've now got to bounce back against Cork."
