Aaron Kernan is expected to be fit for Crossmaglen's Armagh SFC final showdown with Armagh Harps on Sunday.

The former county star was forced to retire with a groin problem in the semi-final victory over Maghery, but joint-manager John McEntee is confident he will have recovered in time to line out for Cross', who are seeking a remarkable 19th title in 20 years.

McEntee told the Irish News: "He's been working hard. Aaron is a true professional when it comes to being injured and he does whatever he has to do to make himself available.

"Progress is really good and we'd be very confident that he'll be fit to play."

A notable absentee from the Cross' team will be county attacker Jamie Clarke, who is currently based in the US, while Diarmuid McConville is suspended after receiving a straight red card in the semi-final.
