Now that his one year ban has come to an end, 'Mayo Mick' is on the look-out for a ticket for this Saturday's All-Ireland SFC semi-final replay.

It will take more than five stewards to stop Mick Barrett from Castlebar attending the Mayo/Dublin replay.

"I've no regrets," he told The Examiner when recalling his infamous pitch incursion towards the end of his county's All-Ireland SFC semi-final replay defeat to Kerry 12 months.

"My only regret from last year was that Mayo didn't beat Kerry that night in Limerick and went on to win the All-Ireland final.

"That Mayo team should have gone all the way except for a few bad calls that night. And this current team is every bit as good as that side.

"But it was very tough being banned for 12 months. It meant that I couldn't see so many Mayo games in the league and championship that I would have gone to normally.

"It was some game on Sunday. My heart is still in my mouth after it.

"But to think that I got a ban from the GAA for what I did and then you see some of the things going on, off the ball in that match...

"I wonder will the GAA be as quick to punish the players involved in that."

Mick achieved celebrity status in GAA circles following his confrontation with the Gaelic Grounds stewards and he enjoyed every minute of it.

"I never had as many people coming up to me wanting to have their pictures taken with me. Of course I was more than happy to do it.

"I have no ticket for the replay on Saturday in Dublin. If anyone reading this has one, I'll gladly take it. I wouldn't say no if they had two either."
