Pete McGrath admits Fermanagh face the "ultimate test" against Dublin in Croke Park next Sunday.

Following their impressive victory over Westmeath on Saturday, it was widely expected that the Ernemen would face All-Ireland champions Kerry in the last-eight, but Kildare's surprise defeat of Cork means they will meet All-Ireland favourites Dublin instead.

"All we can do is approach the game in exactly the same way we've approached every game this year; to be competitive and to know that if we bring our best performance over the course of the game that we will ask serious questions of any team - even the elite teams," the Fermanagh manager said in the Irish News.

"Now we are putting that particular set of beliefs to the ultimate test next Sunday."

The Down maestro is looking forward to what will be Fermanagh's first All-Ireland quarter-final appearance in 11 years.

"First of all, it's a marvellous occasion, a massive opportunity for players to go and play in front of a capacity crowd in Croke Park.

"But the important thing is that we go and play - that we just don't go and be part of an occasion. Obviously over the course of this week we will put that to the players, put this game into context and into perspective.

"The bottom line is that we go utterly determined to bring our own best game to Croke Park next Sunday and to perform with the same focus, enthusiasm, and using the same processes that we've used in all our games this season, even going back to the Dr McKenna Cup."
