Dublin 10/11 to beat Longford by at least 17 points

The blue mist will descend on Croke Park this Sunday with Dublin's footballers and hurlers set for a Leinster championship double bill.

Jim Gavin and the footballers are unbackable at 1/100 to get their defence of the Delaney Cup off to a winning start against Longford.

Former Hill 16 favourite Jack Sheedy will be in the opposite corner but the best the midlanders, who secured a morale boosting win over Offaly last time out, can hope for is a credible performance.

They are rank 20/1 outsiders to pull off what surely would be the biggest upset in gaelic football history. The handicap is 10/11 for Dublin to win by more than 16 points.

In contrast, a close encounter is expected in the curtain raiser which pits Dublin manager Ger Cunningham against his namesake Anthony Cunningham.

Dublin got the better of Galway on a scoreline of 0-26 to 2-14 at Parnell Park back in March which partially explains why they are 5/6 favourites to repeat the dose this time around.

The Tribesmen are priced at 6/5 while the draw is available at 9/1.

Meanwhile, in the Munster SFC, Tipperary are 1/10 to see off Waterford (15/2) and set up a semi-final date with All-Ireland champions Kerry.

Peter Creedon's charges will be looking to build on the momentum generated by the county's run to the All-Ireland U-21 FC final and it's difficult to look beyond them.

Up north, Pete McGrath's midas touch has already rubbed off on the Fermanagh footballers. With promotion to Division 2 already in the bag, they are 2/7 favourites to see off the challenge of Antrim (4/1) on home soil.
