James O'Donoghue looks set to miss the start of Kerry's All-Ireland defence because of a calf injury.
The current Footballer of the Year, who only recently returned after undergoing shoulder surgery before Christmas, was forced to pull out of his club Legion's Kerry SFC first round game against Mid Kerry this afternoon with the injury.
Radio Kerry is reporting that O'Donoghue is now a doubt for the Kingdom's Munster SFC semi-final against either Tipperary or Waterford on June 14.
