Limerick manager John Brudair is delighted to have three of his more experienced players back from injury and available for selection.

The Shannonsiders sit bottom of Division Three on just two points with two rounds of the league to go. This Sunday, they host Clare in the penultimate stage of the campaign.

And Brudair told the Limerick Leader that their chances of survival have been boosted by the return to fitness of Ian Ryan, Pa Ranahan and Derry O'Connor.

"Pa is back training and is an option and Ian Ryan is training away. He just needs time to get fully fit. Ian gives us a free taker, a physical presence in front of goal and experience to the others around him," said Brudair.

"There have been patches of very good in the league but the sickening thing was the defeat down in Wexford. Last year we got trimmings off Roscommon and Fermanagh and we haven't looked like that this year."
