Steven McDonnell is to resume his playing career.

The Armagh legend has confirmed to Gaelic Life that he is coming out of retirement to play for his beloved Killeavy in 2015. McDonnell, who retired from inter-county football in 2012 and club football last year, has decided to return after a number of injuries cleared up.

The 35-year-old, who scored the winning point in the 2002 All-Ireland final and captained his country in the International Rules series, will continue to manage the Orchard County U21s next year.
