Galway GAA has another club transfer controversy on its hands after Menlough objected to Killererin player Colin Forde's participation in last Saturday's SFC relegation final.

Retired county star Padraic Joyce scored 1-5 as Killererin retained their senior status with a 2-10 to 0-11 win, but Menlough have since raised questions about Forde's eligiblity. The former All-Ireland minor and U21 winner moved to London last year to take up a job as a physiotherapist and was reported to have transferred to Kingdom Kerry Gaels at the start of this season before returning to help his home club stay in the senior ranks.

The latest controversy comes after the re-hearing into Matthew Keating's involvement with Turloughmore in their Galway SHC group match against Beagh last month took place last night.

The DRA ordered the re-investigation after Turloughmore were thrown out of the Galway SHC. Reigning county and All-Ireland champions Portumna have qualified for the final, but the other half of the draw is stalled at the quarter-final, pending an outcome to the Turloughmore hearing. Ardrahan are through to the quarter-final (they will play Turloughmore or Beagh) with the winners facing Gort in the semi-final.
