Moran not looking past Cork

Barry Moran says Mayo are taking it one game at a time.

Ultimately, the Connacht champions' goal is to capture the All-Ireland SFC crown for the first time since 1951 but veteran midfielder Moran - a member of the Mayo squad since 2005 - insists that James Horan's charges will not fall into the trap of looking beyond Sunday's quarter-final against Cork.

Mayo are warm favourites to see off the Rebel County this weekend but they'll be affording the beaten Munster finalists the height of respect:

"Last year we just lost out in an All-Ireland final by a point, it's the smallest of margins and we're looking to make up those margins this year and push on," the Castlebar Mitchels clubman says in The Irish Independent. "But, at the same time, we are not looking past the next game."

Moran admits Mayo already suffered one major scare this year - against Roscommon in their provincial semi-final clash: "We looked dead and buried with 10 minutes to go. You don't win four-in-a-rows easily though."
