There was needle between the Dublin and Meath players even before throw-in to yesterday's Leinster SFC final as Diarmuid Connolly ignored the out stretched hand of Meath goalkeeper Paddy O'Rourke.

The two sets of players lined up for the pre-match hand-shake as part of the "Give Respect, Get Respect" campaign but the Dublin forward snubbed the Royal 'keeper.

Back on All-Ireland Club final day, O'Rourke made a reference to Connolly's court appearance on an assault charge in a tweet which was later deleted.

The St Vincent's ace had the last laugh yesterday.
