Fermanagh manager Pete McGrath has revealed that he will be talking to defender Niall Cassidy with regards to his inter-county future.

Cassidy hinted at the end of the inter-county season that he was considering retiring from that level, while last Sunday week, his club Roslea lost the county SFC final to Derrygonnelly Harps.

McGrath is keen to give the experienced defender as much time as possible to consider his future and while Cassidy may be a doubt for next year, the Down native confident that the rest of this year's squad should be available.

"No player has yet said to me definitely that he is retiring," McGrath told the Fermanagh Herald. "The only player who could be heading that direction is Niall Cassidy. I've yet to speak to Niall, but certainly no other player has even faintly indicated that he does not wish to continue in 2016.

"After the Dublin match, Niall indicated that his time could be up, but I'll be talking to Niall. I don't want to rush into anything, he's only after losing a county final eight or nine days ago, so I'll be talking to him, probably in the course of this week, to see exactly what his position is. But apart from him I would expect every other player to be available."
