The late Damian McGovern will be very much in Derrygonnelly's thoughts when they face Roslea in Sunday's rearranged SFC final.
The decider was due to take place last weekend but was postponed due to the tragic death of the Harps club stalwart. Instead of taking on Roslea last Sunday, Derrygonnelly's players attended Damian's funeral, on what was a truly dark day for Fermanagh GAA.
"We had a training session on Sunday morning," manager Martin Greene told The Fermanagh Herald. "The family, being so embedded in football, wanted us to keep at it.
"Obviously, it's a tragedy of the highest proportions for Derrygonnelly. Hopefully it will bring a sense of resolve to the team and we'll go again. Sunday and the county final will be a start of getting over the grieving process for a lot of people.
"All the players want to do their best. The family will be deep in our thoughts come Sunday, very much so. There will be extra motivation to do well, but we're not putting any added pressure on the players."
