Kildare and Fermanagh have seven and six players respectively on our football team of the week ...

1. Mark Donnellan (Kildare)

Donnellan was only beaten once in Semple Stadium on Saturday evening but Colm O'Neill's strike proved to be a false dawn for the Rebels.

2. Ollie Lyons (Kildare)

Roamed forward to register a point and also performed his defensive duties to telling effect.

3. Tiernan Daly (Fermanagh)

Really stepped up to the mark in the second-half to help nullify Westmeath's scoring threat.

4. Kieran Gavin (Westmeath)

Handed the task of marking Sean Quigley on his first start in over a year following an Achilles injury, the Mullingar Shamrocks man restricted the Ernesiders' star man to a point from play.

5. James McMahon (Fermanagh)

Proved to be the rock on which many a Westmeath attack perished in Kingspan Breffni Park.

6. Eoin Doyle (Kildare)

A strong contender for the 'man-of-the-match' accolade, Doyle will have to be at his best when the Lilies square up to Kerry.

7. Emmet Bolton (Kildare)

The defender's late dismissal failed to take the gloss of a day to remember for Jason Ryan and his charges.

8. Eoin Donnelly (Fermanagh)

Injury forced the captain off the field in the second-half but Pete McGrath's men had pulled away by that stage.

9. Paul Cribbin (Kildare)

A powerhouse performance from the Johnstownbridge clubman which laid the foundations for Kildare's eight point victory.

10. Padraig O'Neill (Kildare)

O'Neill's experience was a vital ingredient in the Lilywhites' winning formula.

11. Ruairi Corrigan (Fermanagh)

Made his presence felt after his earlier than expected introduction and gave the Westmeath defence plenty to think about.

12. Declan McCusker (Fermanagh)

Kicked two vital points for Fermanagh who now face the formidable challenge of Dublin in the last eight.

13. Niall Kelly (Kildare)

Kelly will be a marked man against Kerry after his 1-4 scoring exploits on Saturday evening.

14. Colm O'Neill (Cork)

The gifted Cork forward kept plugging away but he was left to plough a lone furrow up front.

15. Tomas Corrigan (Fermanagh)

A special goal capped a fantastic performance from Corrigan who pick-pocketed Westmeath for 1-7.
