Fermanagh manager Seamus McCusker has revealed that the late Shane Mulholland stressed that the 'Lory Meagher Cup was their holy grail.'
The Erne County played their first competitive game last weekend since Shane's tragic death last week and they sent out a warning to all their rivals by defeating Warwickshire in their opening match of the fourth tier All-Ireland championship.
And McCusker stressed to the Fermanagh Herald that the players were focused on winning that match to honour Shane's memory.
"I was very impressed by how focused the team were," said McCusker. "It was a very quiet dressingroom and not much was said but I don't think much needed to be said.
"It has been a very emotional week for us and it is going to be very hard for the rest of the season. But look, our grief is nothing compared to that of Shane's family and all our thoughts and prayers are with them."
