Kevin McGarry is to revive his Fermanagh hurling career after re-joining Lisbellaw from Portaferry.

The highly-rated forward transferred to the Down and Ulster champions seven years ago, but has decided to return to his roots less than two weeks after playing in an All-Ireland club semi-final against Kilmallock.

"He is a massive boost to us. He has always been a big player for Fermanagh and Lisbellaw. It's great to have an attacking-minded player like him back," Fermanagh manager Seamus McCusker told the Impartial Reporter.

"Kevin has a young family, but we spoke to him before Christmas and he wanted to come back. There was no twisting of his arm involved. I'm looking forward to working with him."

McCusker is currently nursing an ankle injury and isn't expected to make his return to the Erne County colours until the Allianz League Division 3A local derby clash against Tyrone on March 8.
