Donegal 0-12
Fermanagh 2-5

Fermanagh will meet neighbours Cavan in the semi-finals of the McKenna Cup on Wednesday night, despite suffering a narrow Section B defeat to Donegal at Ballyshannon.

Second half goals from Martin O'Brien and Sean Quigley secured the Erne County's place in the last four after Donegal had looked set to edge them out on scoring difference after leading by 0-10 to 0-3 at the break.

Rory Gallagher's charges, who paraded All-Ireland winners Paul Durcan, Eamon McGee, Frank McGlynn, Christy Toye, Neil Gallagher, Paddy McGrath and Mark McHugh, dominated the opening period after the sides had been tied on 0-2 each after 13 minutes. They scored seven unanswered points per Ryan Malley, Daniel McLaughlin (two), Martin O'Reilly (two) and Eoin McHugh to hold a commanding lead at half-time.

But the concession of two goals after the restart cost them dearly. Indeed, had Fermanagh not kicked 15 wides, including a late miss from Sean Quigley, it would have been a different outcome.
