The re-launch of Fermanagh GAA's fundraising arm, Club Eirne, will take place in the Enniskillen Hotel next Tuesday, December 16 at 8pm.

Marty McGrath, Niall Bogue and Colm Bradley, who were members of the Fermanagh team that came within a whisker of reaching the All-Ireland SFC final 10 years ago, have thrown their support behind the reformed group.

Bradley, who has been elected secretary, told the Impartial Reporter: "Everyone knows that it takes significant financial investment to be a successful GAA county. With a clear plan that involves enhancements of youth coaching as well as a commitment to excellence at senior level we can move forward.

"With everyone working together, and a clear vision for the future in place, we can raise the funds needed to see that vision realised."

Former All Star midfielder McGrath is also pleased to be involved.

"When I was asked to get involved I had no hesitation. We, as a county, have to have a long term plan and that means having the right structures in place with regards the development of youth," he said.

"Our young players of today will be our senior players of tomorrow and our goal has to be to try and make sure that our players are the best they can be, you can't ask any more than that.

"We all want Fermanagh to do well, but I know from my playing days that to achieve that, it is essential that our teams are properly prepared, from senior down to youth levels, and to do that takes money."
