St. Eunan's (Donegal) 1-9

Roslea (Fermanagh) 0-6

Conal Dunne scored 1-4 as newly-crowned Donegal champions St. Eunan's eased to a six-point win over Roslea at Letterkenny.

In a game which had been in doubt after Naomh Conaill secured a second hearing of their appeal against the result of their Donegal SFC semi-final defeat to Glenswilly, the home side laid the foundations for their victory in the opening half when they reeled off an uananswered 1-5 to leave their Fermanagh opponents with a mountain to climb in the second period.

Boosted by the availability of midfielder Kevin Rafferty who had been injured in last weekend's county final win over Glenswilly, St. Eunan's took a sixth-minute lead through Rafferty before he set up two points for Dunne. Dunne raised two more white flags to make it 0-5 to 0-0 after 20 minutes and the game was effectively ended in first half injury-time when Dunne converted a penalty after Eunan's veteran John Haran had been fouled by James McMahon.

Seamus Quigley eventually opened Roslea's account in the 40th minute, only for Eunan's to reply with three quick points. The Shamrocks then hit five unanswered points to leave six in it before Rafferty and Quigley traded late scores.
