Lisbellaw minors in unexpectedly in defeating their much favoured Dungannon opponents in Sunday's Ulster Club Minor Hurling semi-final by an impressive final score of 2 goals 10 points to 2 goals 7 points for the East Tyrone side. Now for the very first time they are into the provincial final of the Minor Hurling Plate competition against Donegal champions Buncrana. With a favourable wind behind them they Lisbellaw youngsters powered into this game, and pretty soon they a had major score from Aaron Kinney.  They St Patrick lads reinforced with the entire first half's minor scores came from they stick of Barry Duffy. Their far from defeated Eoghan Ruadh opponents replied with a modest 4 points.  With a half time lead of 4 points, it was obvious who was happier team racing off they Ballinascreen pitch.

Now with the wind at their backs they Dungannon lads now sought to reverse their opening half's dismal performance, when they massively upped their scoring game by morale boosting 2 goals and 3 points. In mirror replica of the game's first half, they more ebullient St Patrick's went on to contain the pre match favourites Dungannon with them adding a very valuable second goal from Sean Porteous.   Copper fastening their win St Patrick's Micky Williamson, Barry Duffy and Connor McShea tagged on 5 very valuable points to secure an historic win.  This historic win now sees they Lisbellaw youngsters in an Ulster Club Minor Hurling Final in a few weeks' time.
