Senior Football Championship Final

October 02, 2014

Tradition will try to out-do favouritism when Teemore and Roslea meet this Sunday in the battle of the Shamrocks.
Teemore, with 21 titles to their name, top the roll of honour in the Erne county, but they are huge underdogs against a Roslea side going for an incredible fourth Senior Football Championship title in five years.
Mickey Wallace's side have put the blow of relegation behind them to make it to the county showpiece event.
They may have rode their luck at times, but Derrygonnelly, Kinawley, after a replay, and Devenish have all been dispatched, and that's no mean feat.
Roslea, meanwhile, have looked at their best, easing past Lisnaskea, Belcoo and St Joseph's in the earlier rounds. Those three teams managed a combined 0-19 between them which gives an idea of how strong the Roslea defence is under Mark Harte and Adrian O'Donnell.
It's all set up perfectly for a David and Goliath clash at Brewster Park. Can Roslea's dominance continue? Can Teemore defy the critics one more time? All will be answered on Sunday.
