Pete McGrath has been reappointed Fermanagh football manager.

And the 1991 and '94 Down All-Ireland winning boss is looking forward to getting down to business early after his late appointment to the post last year.

"The season had highs and lows, but it is a building process," he is quoted in The Irish News.

"Given the level of talent and the commitment and honesty of players we have, we have every reason to be optimistic. And if they carry on the focus and honesty, I am very positive about continued improvement.

"Last year, my appointment was late (November), but this year we will have an earlier start."

At the same county board meeting, Vinny Connolly and Niall Jackman were ratified as U21 and minor football respectively for another term.
