Cleary hails players

June 26, 2014
Fermanagh under-21 manager Dermot Cleary hailed his players attitude following their Ulster Shield semi-final win over Monaghan.

The Erne County recorded a 3-09 to 1-12 win to book their place in the final where they will face either Tyrone or Donegal in the decider.

Cleary told the Fermanagh Herald that the victory was merited due to the hard work of the players.

"As a team, I have to take my hat off to them. They all worked hard and gave 100 per cent, especially in the second half when Monaghan came back at us, they stood firm," said Cleary.

"And the other players I know won't mind if I single out the four younger players who stepped into the breach. Thanks to them, we did enough to cross the line for the place in the final."
