Round 1

Yes, it isn't a misprint, Lisbellaw they Fermanagh hosts and representatives overwhelmed their visitors Rathgarogue-Cushinstown by a massive, 4 goals. 5 points to a very modest score of 2 points for they Wexford side. Playing in the splendid St Patrick's Park, where they host Lisbellaw side got off to a flying scoring start, with a brace of points from play by St Patrick's Ciaran Duffy. Rathgarogue eventually replied with a well taken point from Adman Slattery. In this truncated game of fifteen minutes each, Lisbellaw wasted no time in upping the major scoring game, when Nathan Timoney rather surprisingly flew through the porous Rathgarogue and blasted home they hosts first two goal from play. With three quarters of the opening half gone by, they St Patrick's now massively increased their major scores, when Coalan Duffy banged home his side's third goal from. Just before the interval they very under the cosh Wexford side modestly replied with their second point from Donal Porter. However their Lisbellaw hosts robbed their opponents of any scoring initiative, when Coalan Duffy blasted home his side's third goal from play. All too soon the matches' referee blew for half time, in a very surprisingly on non-competitive game where a team from the famed hurling county of Wexford were being soundly trashed in a skilful scoring manner by their Fermanagh hosts.
Half time scores

Second half
Wexford Failed to Responded
In a seamless scoring continuation they St Patrick's side, quickly added their fourth and final goal from Ciaran Duffy, from play. In absence of any serious attempt at increasing by visitors Rathgarogue-Cushinstown their modest opening half's scores. it was left to host's Lisbellaw to lift the scoring baton, when Ciaran Duffy blasted home his side's fourth and final goal. Reluctantly satisfied with their morale boosting performance raised their sticks skywards, when firstly Lisbellaw's Ciaran Duffy popped over his side's third point from a free. Then in the final scoring successful effort St Patrick's pocket dynamo Tom Keenan clipped over his side's last two points. The scoring outcome of this match may not be magnitude of last year's All-Hurling Replay, when the underdogs "stole" the match. But for a team who came from a celebrated hurling county of Wexford to succumb to Lisbellaw St Patrick's, the only club to have a senior hurling team presently in Fermanagh, is feat worthy of celebration.
