Bogue out of Ulster JHC clash
October 03, 2008
Lisbellaw will have to plan without ace free taker Ryan Bogue for Sunday's Ulster junior club championship match after the midfielder broke his foot.
Bogue has been exceptional for the Lisbellaw and Fermanagh this year and his experience will be missed against the Monaghan champions on Sunday.
The county star broke a bone in his foot during a challenge match last weekend and he is joined on the sidelines by his midfield partner Rory O'Donnell, who is out due to a work injury.
Joint team manager Sean Duffy admits that their chances of success have been severely hampered by the loss of two such important players for this weekend's game.
"His (Bogue) injury occurred during training when we had a game among ourselves, using a lot of the minors. Ryan fell awkwardly and he will be in plaster for six to eight weeks," said Duffy.
"Losing Rory was bad enough but then to lose Ryan. He was a key man, playing in the middle of the field. Anyone who knows him knows what he is made of."
