This relevately young club Knock's Grattan's lifted the Fermanagh under 16 Hurling Championship of 2008, when they comprehensively defeated their opponent Lisbellaw St Patrick's by a score of 4 goals 4 points to 1 goal 6 points. The Knock's were never ever seriously threatened by the smaller Lisbellaw side who never were ever in front in the entire period of this match. Though this game got off to slow scoring start it was quality of the score which immediately grabbed the attention of the supporters either biased or neutral that was important. It was the Grattan's Lowel Hoban that set the pace when he blasted home an unstoppable drive, which ended up inn the Lisbellaw net. Almost immediately the St Patrick's lads replied with a white flag, when Daniel Teague popped over his sides first score, a well taken point. Though this was low scoring game in comparison to the senior match which follower, nevertheless these youngster made up the scoring deficit, with their natural energetic abilities which would not out of place at the recent Olympics. Coming towards the end of this matches first quarter the Knock's Micky Montgomery increased his ides lead when he fired over his and his side's first point. A short while later Lisbellaw's Daniel Teague had the white flag raised once more after he pucked over for St Patrick's second point. His team mate Connor McElroy then brought the Lisbellaw scoring to 3 points to 1 goal 1 point for the more dominant Grattan's. And it was the Knock's side who created the next score, a point by the elusive Micky Montgomery. Now as this game was heading for the matches interval both sides upped their game, but alas there was no further scoring

In contrast to this games opening quarter it was Lisbellaw who raced up to this matches' scoring when the largest lad on the pitch Rory Porteous who pucked over St Patrick's fourth point. A little while their east Fermanagh opponents responded when their history man Johnny O'Reilly fired over the Knock's third point from play. Despite those two minor scores the hurling aficionados in attendance could sense that until now this low keyed game was meandering along with the Grattan's sides content with their modest lead. However the Knock's side then decided to dramatically increase their scoring quality and quantity. It began as the third quarter was ebbing away and the Grattan's Martin Beggan grabbed an incoming slither with which he ran at his opponents defence and whilst doing so let loose with an unstoppable drive to have his ball end up in the back of the Lisbellaw net. The latter's response was initially modest, when the Patrick's side were awarded a close in free which was pucked over by wee Daniel Teague for his sides fifth point. The answer from the knock's side was a surprisingly modest a point from the stick of Martin Beggan. But now the Lisbellaw lads showed the had quality to their scoring, when after the latter player floated the slithor into the twenty metre area where met on the full volley by Rory Porteous who drove his overheard shot into the Grattan's net for his and Lisbellaw's only goal. Now as this match had entered its' fourth and final quarter that seemly upstart action now stung the Knock's side into a quick scoring retaliation, when Rory McGrad crashed home his sides third goal. With most of the fourth quarter gone by the winning of this game now done to one side. And the man now to copper fasten his sides win was Grattan's Brian McDermott who with the sound of the referee's whistle almost within earshot fired home his sides fourth final goal to wrapped up game that was Knock's side from the opening second.

Presentation
Immediately after the under game Fermanagh hurling Board Chairman presented the under 16 trophy to the Victorious Knock's Grattan's captain Rory McGrad who instantly called for three chairs for the loosing Lisbellaw St Patrick's team.
