Derrygonnelly manager Brendan Rasdale believes that the players have developed a winning mentality in the last few years.

That winning mentality was called upon last Sunday as the Fermanagh champions came from four points down at half time of extra time to force penalties against Tyrone counterparts Trillick.

Holding their nerve, it was Derrygonnelly who triumphed as they progressed to the Ulster club SFC semi-final where they will face Kilcoo.

“The players have a really good mentality, maybe that’s from winning five county titles but the way they carry themselves, the way they take to training, they are just a credit to themselves, the club and their families,” Rasdale told the Fermanagh Herald.

“The perception at half time of extra time was probably that the game had got way from us with four points separating the sides but these lads do not lie down.”
