Following their exit from the Lory Meagher Cup, Fermanagh manager Sean Duffy was looking for positives from the campaign.
A 1-19 to 0-10 defeat to Lancashire brought down the curtain on Fermanagh hurlers season and their failure to win a championship game.
"Obviously there is disappointment that we failed to win a championship game, but I wouldn't say that it all doom and gloom for us," Duffy told the Fermanagh Herald.
"We have to acknowledge that this is a squad in transition, a lot of former players just not available and we do have a number of young players now featuring.
"All those players were minors last season. All of them featured on Saturday and all of them played well. We have to be positive."
