Fermanagh manager Rory Gallagher is looking forward to having all his attacking options available for the start of the NFL.

The Erne County's interest in the Dr McKenna Cup came to an end last weekend when Tyrone defeated them in the semi-final and now their attention turns to the opening round of the national league.

The return of Seamus Quigley is seen as a major boost to the side and Gallagher feels that if the Roslea forward keeps working the way he has, then he will be a major asset to them.

He also told the Fermanagh Herald that Tomas Corrigan and Eamonn Maguire are nearing a return ahead of the league opener.

"Seamie has been out of inter county football for a while, but he's working hard and we're delighted to have him with us," said Gallagher.

He added: "We have Tomas coming back and he's a top quality forward. I'm looking forward to getting him back. He had a minor calf injury and reinjured it slightly, so there's no point in risking him at this time of year. He should be fine for the start of the year.

"Eamonn Maguire has trained and he's in very good condition, he just had to get a wee injection in the shoulder, but he'll be grand by Tuesday or Wednesday. We'd have loved to have got him a game in the McKenna Cup, but it just wasn't worth the risk."
