Killer_88 , havent a clue what you are on about and Im actually attending games since the 70s hence my shock and amazement at the loud unsporting booing of the Mayo fans in Mc Hale Park 2 yrs ago...it was really pathetic. I remember the welcome Mayo got on sooo many occasions in Parnell Park. As for the day of the Semis when ye commondered the area in front the Hill that was just the pits, how come in all the years of championship no other team had to resort to that sort of stuff????AT least this time around I wont be too shocked with any negative behaviour from Mayo fans in Caslebar...Cmon the Dubs!!!!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
First of all, do ya not remember the craic after Mayo v Dublin in 2007 in McHale Park? Mayo won by a point and thus qualified for the League Semi's instead of Dublin (well I think it was in their place anyway?). A couple of Dublin fans actually went onto the field with a couple of minutes left to confront the Umpire at the Albany end (where most Dublin supporters were situated). Then after the final whistle, trouble started in front of the Albany End goal. Nothing too serious but Cops arrived, handcuffed at least 2 Dubs and that was the craic over
Secondly, Croke Park is the GAA HQ, not Dublin GAA HQ. Where does it say that Dublin have first option on warming up at Hill 16 end?? Don't be so bloody arrogant. It was a psychological move by David Brady and it worked. Dublin's reaction, especially that of Pillar throwing a shoulder at John Morrison and running away, was laughable.

With his size and build was really hoping he would come good, opposing managers had to worry about brogan and o gara as well , think gilroy is hoping for a glimmer of something that unfortunatly doesnt seem to be there. still think the likes of kerry would rather see mossy on the pitch than o gara even if he was bad the othernight. Is gilroy seeing something in training we are not ,hope so.

1106970 O'Gara tries hard and will never be found wanting when it comes to effort.
However, in my opinion he doesn't have the football to be a regular threat to any top defence in the country.
you've probably hit the nail on the head.......

im nbot saying he will make 15 in championship but you cannot say he was not in form over the last month he scored 5 points when he came on in carlow and he scored another 5 points before going off at half time against ucd and against kildare was the only player nearly to score for an hour

Meath Juvenile Players moving to Dublin clubs?
There is a tradition in Dublin of playing for your 'family' club rather than the club in your locality. This would just be a progression from that as the suburbs expand into Meath/Kildare/Wicklow.
It's fairly common I'd imagine.

1106916 I dont mind the booing (everyone does it),and the Dub fans bring great colour and atmosphere to the Gaa,but there is someone on the hill who brings a whistle to the games and always blows it when the opposition is in the danger zone.Very unfair on the players and it will put off an attacker more than any amount of booing I reckon.Hope the stewards manage to zone in on him the next time, and throw him out.Its really not on.
hope it does get sorted the culprit is 1 annoying little runt and is interupting the flow of the game continuously....

Also shocked Michael mc dident make an appearence, as for Mossy, as Ive mentioned loadsa times on this forum go back into the archives check his tallies in Championship games, speaks volumes...hes a forward, is it not the job of the forewards to score???? rest my case.....the chaps confidence destroyed now, started every league game in 2011, racked up scores from both play and frees then doesent start one championship game...Not a recepie for anyones confidence....

1106478 Come on hill we all know what mossy can do at this stage. He couldn't even get in the Dublin 20(5 subs used) last summer. Surely gilroy should be looking at younger up and coming players.
Agree 100 per cent! He is never going to make it at championship level at this stage! Whats the point in playing the lad in the league when he's not going to be in the mix come june?? Younger players could be givien a chance to make the grade!

heres hopn the Mayo fans behave this time unlike last two occasions when they booed our lads comin onto the pitch , not very sporting like at all
_____
My oh my.. Pot... Kettle.....Black spring to mind
What about idiots on hill 16 and in croke park in general on saturday night boo-ing the greatest Gaelic footballing team in the history of the game onto the pitch, Absolute disgrace. Seriously i hate this nonsensical of fans accusing everyone else when they do the same thing. Dublin fans (And it kills me saying this) are far from perfect. Infact some Dublin fans i've come across in my 19 years of life on this earth, Are perhaps some of the most disgraceful and demeaning horrible people ive had the displeasure of meeting. I would love Dublin fans to be the most incredibly behaved bunch of fans in the world, But they...we arent, I myself am guilty of booing free takers the odd time and shouting out the odd expletive (However never at an opposition player as that is thuggery at its finest , Always regarding my team if they are not up to scratch) in frustration. We on our day when we back our team and sing and dance on the hill are the best fans around and it makes me really really proud of my roots, my city, my people, my friends.....
BUT
Theres two sides to that coin however, and it makes me absolutely ashamed when i see Dublin fans act the maggot, Small minority (3 OR 4% ON THE HILL FOR EXAMPLE) but a small minority that seem to reflect on us all. You i'm sure Mollymalone are a genuine one.. Yew_Tree is by far and away the most genuine poster from Mayo on here, Yet i dont think it would be fair to label the like of him a wind up merchant because of the like of Ogall, Same way the small minority of Mayo morons in Castlebar two years ago shouldnt represent the whole mayo community and gaelic fans.
Dublin have some of the most knowledgable, witty, well mannered, humoured and genuine gaelic footballing fans on this island. As do Mayo, As do Cork, As do Kerry, As do Tyrone. Dont i repeat . DONT tar everyone with the same brush.. Its not right..
