The highly regarded Mick Bohan has resigned as Clare senior football coach.

A statement issued by Clare GAA reveals that Bohan has stepped down after one year due to 'family reasons' and will be replaced by 2013 Galway All-Irelnd U-21 winning coach Alan Flynn.

The Banner County statement confirmed that Dublin native Bohan 'will continue in his role with the under-age development programme in Clare'.
