Huge demand for replay tickets

Increased demand for tickets for Saturday's All-Ireland SFC final replay has been reported in both Dublin and Mayo.

Even though an extra 8,000 tickets have been divided between the two counties as there is no minor match this time, another ticket scramble has developed with a larger number of people hoping to attend this weekend's replay.

Another sell-out is guaranteed and there will be no tickets going on general sale.

"Demand has increased - we managed to get one per member for the last game. I think there was just shy of 80 people looking for tickets," Ballymun Kickhams PRO Cathal Roche told Herald.ie.

"The demand has risen by about 50pc and we're not hopeful of getting anywhere near that this time around. This game has just stoked up so much interest.

"We'll get our initial allocation and then we'll go seeking more. We're obviously working very hard to try and get tickets for our members.

"Our club constitution states that the chairman and secretary are entitled to one ticket each, but both of them deny that and put their tickets back in for the draw."
