Ger Cunningham has confirmed that he'll be in charge of the Dublin hurlers again in 2017.

The Cork man was initially handed a three-year term at the helm when he succeeded Anthony Daly and he says he will see it out:

"We're due to sit down in the next couple of weeks to look at next year. Initially we shook hands on three years and I'll be going into my third season next year and I would expect that process to be sorted in the next couple of weeks," he told Newstalk.

"I made a commitment from the point of view of when I got involved. It's been a great challenge up to now, it's been enjoyable except for all the travelling but it's something that I'll discuss with the lads and hopefully in the next few weeks we'll have it sorted."
