Dublin LGFA announce club championship sponsorship with New Ireland Assurance

New Ireland Assurance is the official sponsor of the 2016 Dublin LGFA Adult Club Championships.

Dublin LGFA has announced New Ireland Assurance as the official sponsor of the 2016 Dublin LGFA Adult Club Championships.

New Ireland Assurance will hold the exclusive competition title for all nine of the Dublin LGFA Adult club championship competitions from senior level through to the Junior G championship.

As part of the sponsorship package New Ireland Assurance will also be the title and competition sponsor of the Dublin LGFA Dub Stars tournament.  This end of season tournament features the cream of Dublin club football taking on a Dublin senior Inter County selection. While the Junior Dub Stars game honours our club players from Junior clubs throughout the County.

Joe Keane, Dublin LGFA Chairperson said at the launch in DCU - "The club championship is the heartbeat of our organisation and our partnership with New Ireland Assurance will assist Dublin LGFA greatly in the development of club football within the County.

"I am especially looking forward to working with New Ireland Assurance in the coming months to further promote our championships and in doing so acknowledge the tremendous work being carried out by players, coaches and officials at adult grassroots level."

Brian Sullivan, Head of Financial Advisor Channel with New Ireland Assurance also speaking at the launch in DCU said "New Ireland Assurance is delighted to be sponsoring the Dublin LGFA Club Championships in 2016.

"We have a long tradition of promoting and supporting Gaelic games in Counties and local communities since our foundation in 1918. Ladies football in Dublin has seen unprecedented growth in recent years and we hope our new partnership with the county board will help further to promote the game throughout the county. We would like to wish all the clubs and teams the very best in their upcoming games in the club championship in the coming months".
