'Boden continue where they left off

All-Ireland club champions Ballyboden St Enda's got the defence of their Dublin SFC crown off to a winning start last night.

The Andy McEntee managed outfit emerged victorious against Naomh Olaf on a scoreline of 2-12 to 0-12 at O'Toole Park.

Two first half goals sent 'Boden on the road to victory and they led by 2-5 to 0-5 at the halfway stage.

Elsewhere, Castleknock upset the odds to record a 2-12 to 1-12 victory over St Oliver Plunkett's Eoghan Rua in the first game of a Parnell Park double-header.

In the second game, St Brigid's enjoyed a 3-15 to 2-5 success over St Maur's while 2012 champions Ballymun Kickhams dished out at 36 point defeat to O'Tooles.
