St. Vincent's hammered Erin's Isle

St. Vincent's signalled their intent by hammering Erin's Isle in the first round of the Dublin SFC last night.

Mossy Quinn and Shane Carthy both found the net as last year's runners-up eased to a 2-16 to 0-4 victory at Parnell Park. 

Brian Fenton was among the goals as Raheny inflicted a crushing 5-18 to 2-1 defeat on St. Mary's, Saggart in St. Margaret's, while his county team-mate Cormac Costello impressed for Whitehall Colmcille in their 2-17 to 1-7 victory over St. Pat's, Palmerston at Blakestown.

Niall Coakley hit 0-7 as St. Jude's defeated Cuala 0-15 to 0-5 in O'Toole Park. Elsewhere, St. Sylvester's were 1-13 to 1-8 winners over UCD, Skerries Harps edged out Thomas Davis 1-12 to 1-11, while Lucan Sarsfields overcame local rivals Round Tower, Clondalkin by 2-10 to 1-7.
