It has very much been a case of so far, so good for Dotsy O'Callaghan and Dublin this year but the competition level cranks up a gear this weekend.

The Walsh Cup final victory over Galway has set the men from the capital up nicely for their Division 1A opener against Tipperary this Saturday

"We had a good positive start to the year with the Walsh Cup victory so everyone is eager to impress and get going," O'Callaghan commented at the launch of the Allianz Leagues in GAA headqarters today.

When asked when Dublin's league ambitions were, he replied: "To win it would be nice but, from a team perspective, we've got a lot of new lads coming into the team so I think you are going to see a lot of lads getting a jersey for the first time. Hopefully, we can gel it together as well.

"Obviously, winning games is crucial as well."
