On the day of the GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Championship final between Dublin and Kerry, AIB set a Dublin supporter #TheToughest challenge; to support arch-rivals Kerry, in a pub full of Dublin supporters, to win a prize for his club.
Andy O'Faolain, from Stillorgan was the (un)lucky supporter who was chosen by AIB. He gave up his All-Ireland Final match ticket and was tasked with spending 70 minutes cheering for the opposition, in order to win a prize for his club, Na Gaeil Óga.
Surrounded by Dublin supporters, Andy spent the entire game shouting on Colm Cooper and co, and trying to hide his actual excitement when Dublin scored points, and most importantly, when the final whistle went and Dublin were crowned All-Ireland Champions.
After completing his task, GAA legend Dessie Farrell was on hand to announce to the entire pub that Andy had successfully completed #TheToughest Challenge winning €5,000 for his club.
AIB are proud to be "Backing Club and County" and are supporters of clubs, the "Official Suppliers" of players to county teams.
