Odds: Smart money on a draw?

Next Sunday it's the turn of Dublin and Mayo to battle it out for a place in this year's Sam Maguire Cup showpiece and Jim Gavin's men are fancied to set up a final date with Kerry on Sunday, September 20th.

Ladbrokes have installed the Leinster champions as 8/13 favourites to put a stop to Mayo's gallop.

The Stephen Cluxton captained outfit have blazed an impressive trail to the last four, coasting past the respective challenges of Longford, Kildare, Westmeath and Fermanagh but the Connacht champions represent an entirely different proposition.

With Aidan O'Shea in the form of his life, the Keith Higgins skippered Westerners issued a statement of intent in their 2-13 to 0-11 quarter-final victory over 2012 champions Donegal.

And, at 7/4, there are sure to be plenty of punters willing to take a punt on the Noel Connelly/Pat Holmes managed outfit.

As the throw-in approaches, it's a close one to call so don't be surprised if a second outing is required to separate these sides and the smart money could be on the draw at 8/1.

Incidentally, following their hard-earned 0-18 to 1-11 victory over Tyrone last Sunday, Kerry are priced at evens to retain the most coveted prize in Irish sport.

Dublin are available at 13/8 while Mayo are rated as 7/2 outsiders to bridge the 64 year gap to their last All-Ireland success.
