Dublin's second-half performance against Fermanagh has given manager Jim Gavin plenty of food for thought ahead of their All-Ireland semi-final against Mayo or Donegal on Sunday, August 30th.

Speaking to RTE following their 2-23 to 2-15 last eight victory over the Ernesiders, Gavin said: "Fermanagh came back in to it, we gave them a bit of space and they exploited it.

"They got the scores and played the way we knew they could play if we gave them space.

"Fermanagh can be very proud of their performance today, they are in the top eight on merit and they will certainly do very well in Division 2 next year."

He continued: "First and foremost, we're just pleased to be into a semi-final. The second-half performance won't be good enough the next day so that gives us a lot of areas to work on.

"We're in an All-Ireland semi-final, you've got to step it up so whether it's Mayo or Donegal it's going to be a big, big challenge and we look forward to meeting them in a couple of weeks time."
