Ballymun Kickhams and Ballyboden St. Enda's opened their Dublin SFC campaigns with victories over Parnell's and St. Maur's at Parnell Park last night.

Second half goals from Dean Rock (penalty) and substitute Kevin Leahy helped 2012 champions Ballymun to an emphatic 2-19 to 0-5 win Parnell's. Rock finished with 1-6 (1-5 from placed balls) as Anto McCaul's charges got their campaign off to the best possible start.

Andrew Kerin and Sam Moloney raised green flags in the opening half of Ballyboden's 2-10 to 0-7 victory over Maur's.

Meanwhile, three points each from Longford's Brian Kavanagh, Dara Mullin and Barry O'Roarke earned Kilmacud Crokes a 0-13 to 0-5 win over Division 3 side Whitehall Colmcille at Silverpark. Cormac Costello accounted for all but one point of the Colmcille tally.

In Garristown, Barry and Philly Ryan were among the goals as 2011 champions St. Brigid's hammered Erin's Isle 3-17 to 0-6, while St. Anne's squeezed out Round Tower, Clondalkin by 0-10 to 1-6 at O'Toole Park.

St. Vincent's will begin their title defence against Naomh Olaf tomorrow night at Parnell Park.
