Dublin ace Alan Brogan is to wait until Christmas before making a decision on his inter-county future.

The former Footballer of the Year was forced to take to Twitter to deny stories he had quit following Dublin's shock All-Ireland SFC semi-final defeat to Donegal and, in an interview with Sean O'Rourke on RTE Radio this morning, he said: "I am not sure where that story came from, to be honest.

"I don't think the immediate aftermath of a game like that - or even two weeks afterwards - is the time to be making a huge decision like that.

"I am taking some time off to sit down with family and people I trust and we will make a decision before Christmas.

"The time that goes into it now [playing for Dublin], you have to be really committed to. It is not something you can do on half measures. I will take my time with it."

Brogan is tipping Donegal for Sam Maguire Cup glory this Sunday.

"It is a very difficult call. Kerry will have learned a huge amount from watching Donegal against us but I think Donegal will be full of confidence.

"I'll go for Donegal by a couple of points."
